I was watching cbc, but listening to Joe Bowen’s radio call.  Not too often that Bowen calls out the leafs like he did tonight. Can’t wait to here TSN overdrive on Monday afternoon.

Admittedly, I just don’t care for many players on the Leafs and
the hype around them as personalities, especially given they’ve done nothing other than put up some gaudy individual stats for a season or two.
How Mathews and his family treated the security guard didn’t help.

But the salaries for Mathews and Marner in particular are just obscene.

I like the line that’s come up here and there “look around the league and see
what the players who win Stanley Cups are paid”. The All-Star Game has seemingly never been less relevant and their highest paid players often appear to play important actual games like they are goofing around at All Star weekend.

Their own coach recently said that apparently they have to keep getting embarrassed to the point they start playing the right way. How often and how badly?
Maybe even that won’t motivate them. Maybe some guys who are enormously skilled get their eleven million, barely out of their teens, and that’s what’s important to them, not winning or playing hard as a team.

Craig Button rant was entertaining , surprise Live on TV.  Everyone in camera view was holding their jaws up.  Really it just came from nowhere but was true entertainment
