Video- If This Shootout Goal Celebration Happened In The NHL…

...Who would be the first guy on your team to make sure it never happened again?

It could either be a teammate of the goal scorer or of course a player from the team that was scored on.

You may have already seen the video, but I don't think we will ever see the celebration in the NHL or if we do, watch out!

Yup, this wouldn’t stand in the NHL.
No fun allowed.

I never thought I’d see the day where the Russian’s were the one’s that don’t act like robots.

There’d be a lot of whining and crying in the press about how it was such a classless move by the player to actually celebrate his shootout winning goal.

The players from the opposition team might even shed a few tears in front of any camera or reporter willing to photograph them.

But as far as players “making sure it doesn’t happen again?” Not a chance.

The only problem I have with this celebration is that the goal was boring—not befitting of the celebration at all.

When you Datsyuk the goalie out of his jock strap, then maybe you do the headstand celebration. smile

If you don’t want someone celebrating a goal, don’t let them score.

Part of sportsmanship is humility. If this becomes the norm, it will make sense for the all star game to have a goofiest goal celebration contest in the skills section.

Slippery slopes are really only bad when they don’t lead to fun things. Waterslides are fun.
