Sure miss seeing anyone on the Wings doing that.

FYI, Landeskog did return to the game.

Per Adrian Dater tweet,

Stuart’s hit was to head and he left feet some. By definition that is a suspension hit

Kronwall-ian type hit! Landeskog with his head down. O’Byrne’s a chump!

I’m interested to see if the league takes a look at this… the guy’s head was definitely down and I think he leaves his feet on contact much like Kronner does. With that said, he does seem to get the elbow pretty high. When Kronwall throws this same hit he tends to come in butt/back/shoulder first. Stuart’s arm was a little loose. Crushing blow none the less and definitely stupid to fight over

Principal point of contact? Head. Shanaban henceforth coming.

Same conclusion from me perfection. However, this is a head shot with intent and will warrent a suspension of a game or two. O’byrne deserves a game too. Especially fighting with a visor. Moron.

You know after watching that replay 6 or 7 times I am convinced that was a great, clean hit. An opposing player can not predict that someone rushing up ice with the puck is going to suddenly drop their head at the last possible second. Having said that, SJ’s announcers are awful…easily a couple of the worst I’ve ever heard.

Looks like the Sharks scored twice on the resulting powerplay… is that right? Seems justified.

Rewatched the replay several times, and I can’t see where you guys are getting the idea he lowered his head before the hit

His head was low at least a good second before the hit, he was fixed on the puck hitting the boards for a while

How is Obyrn stupid for fighting?  That was their Captain.  Joe Thornton gets drilled by Kronwall like that and Clowe’s up his ass immediately.  Should be same for us, someone drills Pav, Bert should make’em pay penance.

That was the same as Schenn’s hit. Should be a game, at least. He left his feet with his arm up.

he was in the same position from the time he crossed his own blue line to when Stuart hit him.  I don’t see him put his head down either.  it was down the whole time, a little crouched, skating up ice handling the puck.

Reports are NHL will take no action on the hit.

That’s a clean hit. Adrian Dater is an idiot. His arm and shoulder were down and he left his feet after contact.

And what is up with that announcer? IT CAUSED A FIGHT BECAUSE ITS HOCKEY DUMBASS. Jesus.
