If that’s only worth 4 minutes, I’d love to see what a high sticking major looks like. What a joke.

Carter is a dumbass, but what does that make Duncan Elbows Keith?

Keith needs to get his ass beat. Suspended would be a close second.

Not to absolve Keith, but why didn’t Carter get at least a minor for slashing or 4 minutes for slashing an open hand? Here’s a hint to Keith, next time that happens, flop down like your hand is broken. Seriously, heads snapping back or flailing seems to be the only way to get these calls. I think 4 minutes for Keith was the right call in this case, it was one handed and obviously looked like it was meant to hit the shoulder, he just missed.

Isn’t that exactly what you proceed to do?

Right, it was obvious! Why because he apologized after?

It was obvious because any fan of the game has seen malicious stick swinging and most times they happen with two hands on the stick and a wind up, neither of which occurred on this play. See, the difference is I can watch the games objectively because I don’t have a dog in this race nor a proclivity to either team or the players on them.

Straw man arguments and dogmatism…the last refuge of idiots.

It doesn’t look like Carter slashes Keith, it looks like he tries to pin his glove on the ice. Certainly could be considered interference, and undoubtedly childish, but an intentional slash up near the head is so much worse.

I don’t care if its a flagrant suspendable high stick (Bertuzzi’s punch to Moore was similarly intentioned) but my god did Carter dive half a mile after it happened.  This sport is becoming basketball.
