Video- Damien Brunner Helped Off The Ice After Suffering A Right Leg Injury

Brunner was involved in a play along the boards and took a knee from the Ducks' Mark Fistric.

Brunner had to helped off the ice while not putting any weight on his right leg.  The Devils say he has a lower-body injury and will not return.

If Brown got five and a game for his hit on Hertl, this should be a five gamer Shanaban. Come on…purposely stuck his right knee out further and changed directions trying to hit the kid.

I don’t think he purposely stuck out his knee. What it looks like is that Brown adjusted to make a hit on the boards and as a result of the adjustment there was a knee to knee hit. Bad luck but I don’t think there was bad intentions that came with that incident.

Dirty hit by a dirty player. Still remember his terrible head hit on Franzen a couple of years ago. What goes around comes around eventually.

Devils say Brunner out at least a month with knee injury, surgery not required.
