Video- Coyotes Welcome The 1980 USA Men’s Hockey Team

from the Phoenix Coyotes,

A sellout crowd chanted U-S-A! over and over on Friday night as members of the gold-medal winning 1980 United States men’s hockey team took center ice for a pre-game ceremony to help send off the 2014 Olympians playing in the Coyotes vs. Blackhawks game at Jobing.com Arena.

Former U.S. captain Mike Eruzione dropped the ceremonial first puck to cap the 15-minute ceremony, which featured highlights from the “Miracle on Ice” game vs. the U.S.S.R. and introductions of the 15 current NHL players who will head to Sochi for this year’s Games on Sunday.
