Video- Columbus Scores, Ref Waves It Off

I think it is about time the NHL allows repaly on calls like this.  We seen too many of these types of calls or non-calls so early in the season.

i watched this game, and definitely was a good goal. The rule the ref incited to explain the situation was completely wrong to use against, as the player NEVER made incidental contact. So that rule couldnt even apply here. Im in favor of a replay for stuff like this too.

I also saw it live and the call was ridiculous. The Jackets player they said made incidental contact, never actually made contact and in fact cleared the crease before the puck was in the net so they couldn’t have waived it off for that either.

Toronto should be watching for stuff like this and be able to over-rule that call.

Just horrible.

Perfect example of abuse of power.

Refs and linesmen should be given less to do not more.  They should be as close to invisible as possible.

If there’s one thing the officiating for the first week of the season has shown me, is that the refs need those preseason games too.  Inconsistencies and ridiculous calls like this one abound.

NHL still have a “war room” in Tuuuuuuuranta that reviews these types goals?

Colin Campbell and Shanahan are a disgrace working in the front office and I hate saying that about Shanny because I liked him so much as a player but to go from a players union involved rep to the front office where bettman works makes him a douche now in my mind.

Refs have been blow happy already this season and Grapes on HNIC shredding the linesman for attention whoring with their lecturing players and not dropping the puck quickly is dead on.

New CBA but the NHL still in need of so many rule changes and the hand by far over puck not the most important change.
How about going to a 3 pt scoring system because of the shootout wins and NOT giving goalies a W when they win in a shootout. Goalie stats are forever screwed up thanks to shootouts.

I don’t know. Foligno enters the crease and he makes a little contact with the goalie, or at the very least, prevents him from coming out a little further. Don’t think it mattered on the goal, which should be the ultimate judge on any kind of interference, incidental contact.
