What are that official seeing when he stares directly at an elbow
to the head, and sees the player crumble to the ice holding his head?

“Hey, cool follow-through with the elbow on that spin move”?!

Who are these incompetents?

On so many of these plays you see an official in the frame looking directly at the play
unobstructed, from a close distance….and they decide not to do anything.

What/how is the league officials re: headshots?

Either it’s incredibly vague or the criteria is so particular and complex
it’s impossible to apply. Or the messages the officials are getting are so inconsistent and contradictory that just ignoring penalties all the time is normal.

It’s impossible to have any confidence in the league office or the officials on the ice.
That’s the upshot.
