Looks like a skate from his teammate Kucherov hit him in the head area.

Horrible decision by Bishop and they’re lucky that Kucherov wasn’t seriously hurt on that play as well when he slammed into the end boards.

Not sure what Bishop was thinking there. Not sure if he even was thinking. But hopefully, he’s not too bad off.

Asks it was his own teammate that got him. Bad decision, bad play, stupidity everywhere.

Bishop and Jon Cooper both addressed this after the game. Bishop said he was fine - head hurt, but no dizzyness or anything - and Cooper said he thought it was worse than it was before he saw the replay.

Bishop said he thought he could get the puck, but obviously Zibanejad was coming faster than expected so he tried for the poke-check. Probably not a wise decision even if he hadn’t been injured.

Valtteri Filppula also left this game with a lower body injury. He did try to take a shift before leaving the game, though, so it might not be too bad.
