That’s a marvellous summary! Reads like something an eight-year-old would write when told by his parents to produce a written apology for the neighbour whose window he smashed with a ball. It also has a similar level of sincerity.

Boston is just smarter about their cheap shots and/or knows what they league will tolerate from them (virtually anything).

Sportsnet has footage of Chara sucker punching Tavares in the side of the head in a scrum.

I’ve had it with that guy - he’s a goon.

Legimateky good player - of course.

So is Marchand. And Marchand was nowhere - or has so far been nowhere near as egregious this Spring.

But Chara seems to operate from the rationale that he’s allowed one good shot to the head in every scrum - no not as hard as he can punch, but a punch nonetheless. They can’t ca all of them so it seems they call none of them. And Chara knows when to sneak them in and when to stop before he completely embarrasses an official into calling a penalty. He’s never penalized so he’ll never stop.
