Wow…Maybe after getting away with covering the puck in the crease and then carrying it to the bench and hiding it vs. the Wings, he thinks he can do whatever the heck he wants. Again, wow.

Saw this live and was wondering the same thing.  Funny thing was, neither of the broadcasters mentioned Legwand’s brain cramp of a play after watching it in slow motion 3 times.  Who were those hacks?

He was probably trying to get it on top of the net to stop play. If he had succeded, he could have received a delay of game penalty. Unless it was the same ref who didn’t call a penalty shot vs the Wings.
