from the CP at TSN,
Mika Zibanejad scored at 10:09 of overtime to lead Sweden to a 1-0 win over Russia in the championship final of the world junior men’s hockey championship on Thursday.
Zibanejad stole the puck from Russian forward Nikita Gusev before breaking into the Russian zone and roofing a backhand shot over the blocker of Russian goaltender Andrei Makarov, who finished the game with 57 saves.

Wow, what a goal. Were those Russian players completely out of gas? They seemed to not be in much of a hurry to get back to the puck.
Seems like the crowd was really rooting for Sweden, too. I’m assuming it was just to see Russia lose.

I think most Sens fans would have preferred to see Mark Stone score the OT winner, but we’ll settle for Mika Zibanejad.
Congrats to Russia on the Silver - They played a good tournament and have some amazing talents.
Congrats to Sweden on their first gold in (I think?) 30 years - probably long overdue.
