1) What else could he say?  He has a valid NHL contract that pays him 7.8 million. Whats he gonna hold out and not play??
2) Will be interesting how well nash does in the spot light. Its one thing being the “the star” in Columbus Ohio where there is no NHL history to NY, the biggest US media market, where there is the expectation to win the Stanley Cup!

Rich? Nash. LOL.

Rich Weber.
Rich Parise.
Rich Suter.
Soon to be Rich Doan.

I’m not expecting him to do anything different than he did in columbus.

It will be real interesting to see what happens when a high end player goes from playing on the lowest exposure team to the highest (american) exposure team in the nhl.

Lets see what this spotlight thing actually does (in his case).

And then there is the whole *way better line* thing and the *way better team* thing with the puck more often.  If the Rangers were more offensively minded, he could score 60.

Big market/small market. Original six/expansion team.  Top team/bottom team.  Canadian/US. What literary B.S.!!  Rick Nash is a great hockey player period and one helluva nice kid and role model.  He will be your best forward as soon as he hits the ice (with all due respect to messrs. Gaborik and Richards).  We’ll miss him in CBus.
You’ll love him in MSG.
