No penalty on the play and I am not really sure why Hejda started going down before the hit. Did he see Torres coming or was it just a fall?

What the hell is Hejda doing?
I think this one’s going to fall into the category of a player drastically altering the position of his head immediately before or concurrent with contact being made.
Torres is a dirty player, but it feels like he’s well on his way to making a clean check on Hejda. I mean, it’s entirely possible that his entire intent after the Hejda pass is to get in front of him and “pick” the head, but it’s also possible that Torres was expecting him to continue on his current path and receive a shoulder check. We’ll never know because Hedja does something dumb here.
If the league is going to be making a video out of this one, it should probably be a warning to people about trying to duck under checks like this.

Only got one angle of the hit. I wonder if he hit a rut in the ice and his skates went out under him or if he fatigued.
