Isn’t that Lucic’s second sucker punch of the season? Should be suspended next game. I’d throw Thornton in there too. for one game as well.

total bush league tactics from the losers in Boston. Under the instigator penalty, both would be suspended for the next game. Sadly, Campbell is a dbag and will do nothing.

This is the entire point of the instigator rule in the final 5 minutes of a game, for cowards like these 2 to have an actual penalty for trying to injure someone.  Yet it is never called or enforced.  If one player got suspended for a playoff game because of this end of game BS it would stop, but we all know that will never happen.

This went on at the end of virtually every game between the ducks and wings two years ago, the league did nothing. Malkin-Zetterberg, league did nothing.  Someone needs to make a big deal of this before anything will change.  It’s one thing when the calm isn’t made (clowe - abdelkader), but when the call is made and AN NHL RULE IS IGNORED… Total “garage league” crap.

Why would Lucic discontinue these antics when he’s never been suspended once for any of it?
- Sucker punches Tyler Myers with closed, ungloved fist. $2500 fine. No games
(meanwhile, Ben Eager gets 4-games for punching Colby Armstrong with a gloved hand).
- Crosschecks Dominic Moore in the face. No fine. No games.
(Danny Briere gets 4-games for doing the same to Frans Nielsen).
- Sucker punches Victor Hedman last night. No games. No fine.

Lucic has an open credit card to do whatever he wants. If he played on the Thrashers, Coyotes, Wild, or any other team that Colin Campbell didn’t care about, he’d be a repeat offender.

Let the record show I like Lucic. I like how he plays hard. I don’t like his cheapshots though, and I loathe the NHL for constantly turning a blind eye to these types of cheapshots and shenanigans.

Watching this again, I have no problem with what Horton did. If Hall doesn’t want to get punched in the face, he shouldn’t butt-end someone on the other team then cross-check him while he’s getting up in the last minute of a 5-2 game. Not sure what Lucic’s problem is, though. Just likes sucker-punching people, I guess.
