Video- Do You See A Head-Butt?

Both Jarome Iginla and Nick Johnson received five for fighting and Johnson received a ten and a match penalty.

You will see Iginla motioning around the 30 second mark for a head-butt, but I think Johnson was just bringing his head up.

added 10:05am 11/9/11, another view of the fight plus a comment from Iginla can be seen below…

on first viewing i didn’t even see a headbutt

on second viewing i totally agreed with you that it wasn’t intentional

on third viewing i’m no longer sure… his motion looked pretty hard and projected forward to simply be bringing his head back up. it’s really hard to say actually.

I’m with you perfection, except I think he’s trying to push away from the boards because I don’t really see his head level change. It’s a tough one definitely.

That has to be be the worst call of the season. The only one that should be suspended is Iginla for being a bitch!

Iginla is a crybaby bitch and what makes that worse is the fact that hes one of the dirtiest players in hockey. Still haven’t gotten over the ridiculous cross check and butt end he put on Mathieu Schnieder in 2007 and his pathetic responses after the game(or the leagues pathetic response for that matter). This guy would definitely make my all time creep team. Why didn’t Iginla get an instigator penalty and a penalty for starting a fight with a visor on? Iginla clearly starts hitting Johnson BEFORE he even has his gloves off. While we’re at it why didn’t Iginla fight Faulk? This guy has always gotten a pass because he’s “Mr. Canada” and he definitely called this penalty himself as you can clearly see on the video.

The real intriguing thing in this video is the almost unbelievable reaction the ref has when Koivu tries to get in his two cents. A little sensitive? A reaction like that is a warning sign that a ref is in over his head or he blew a call and he knows it! Looks like maybe both to me. Tom Kowal needs to go or at the very least the league needs to slap him around a little.

Maybe you? Not sure how this comment makes any sense. Let me guess you’re Canadien and an Iginla fan?
