Video- Did Kesler Stick A Leg Out On Zetterberg?

No call on the play.

via Ansar Khan tweet,

Zetterberg said Kesler’s knee-on-knee check was “stupid play.’’ Kesler said, essentially, “what knee-on-knee check?’‘

I don’t understand why he would intentional move his leg like that except to injure.  There’s no way it was an accidental move.

With the headline” does Kesler stick a leg out on Zetterberg?” It infers that something happened and further investigation may be needed. But the headline ” Kronwall hit on Kesler” has no mention about the fact that an Ilegal play occured. Very one sided reporting.

Blatant knee-on-knee. It’s clear as day, Kesler even makes a kicking motion with his skate after contact, if it was accidental his foot wouldn’t move forward, it’d move sideways or backwards. Gutless little dirty play by an arrogant prick. I’ve tried to tolerate his attitude, but after seeing this shit pulled, fuch him. He’s gonna get what’s coming to him eventually, if not by Kronwall than someone else. Karma’s a bitch Ryan.

Good thing there’s a seawall in Vancouver for when you finish crying that river.

Dirty play by Kesler. This one and the second hit on Filppula after Bieksa plastered him (cleanly).

When Kesler gets mad, he starts up with the cheap stuff. Only problem is that Kesler’s always mad.

By asking the question of Kesler, I would hope you would respond how you want.  If you notice, the TSN guys called him out, I am not, rather leaving the decision up to KK readers.

Believe me, if I was calling him out, you would know.

Kesler is an @$$, always has been.  Couldn’t be more obvious that he stuck his leg out.

As for the “leading” headlines, it’s something you get used to around here.

Funny thing is almost all other players would have fallen, but Zetterberg’s balance is so good he was able to stay up.  The edges some of these guys have a amazing!

Dirty, cheap play.
That could cause a career-threatening injury to Zetterberg.
This play says a lot about the guy who made it.

Am I the only Wings fan thinking there’s some overreaction here? First, the hit was shin to knee. It was definitely deserving of a tripping penalty because he intentionally kicked his leg out to interfere with Z, but I think calling it an intent to injure is a little harsh, we’re not talking about a Bryan Marchment or Ulf Samuelsson hit here.

And same thing is true of the Kronwall hit. Should’ve been a penalty since he left his feet, but talk of it being dirty and/or fines/suspensions is crazy since he didn’t target or hit the head. In fact, he turns around and swings his rear end into the check, which to me indicates he was intentionally making sure he got his arms/elbows/stick out of the way so as not to run the extra risk of hitting the head, intentional or not.

Both plays were dumb and should’ve been on-ice penalties, that’s it. Honestly I think both teams and fans should and will forget about this in like five minutes.

Self-zing ruins it.  Rookie mistake.

If karma exists the Canucks will probably never win a Stanley Cup. They got a whole lot of shit coming their way.
