maybe no consistency is a good thing? Players won’t do stupid things cause they won’t know if they will get thrown out of the league or fined $2,500…
But in all seriousness, Lucic shoulda gotten something. Maybe Engelland forgot all he had to say was he didn’t see Kruger there…

This is a bit much. 3 games for that, when he has no history? I thought a fine or one game at most.

Perhaps he should’ve claimed he plays for the Bruins

Most similar hit to this was Sutton’s. The difference there was Sutton didn’t injure his guy and that Sutton did have a history.
Should have been five.

Should have been 1 game since it was his first time

I thought 2 Games But Shannaban is becoming Colin Campbell already with his Inconsistency
Although Pacioretty got 3 for his Hit On Letang so pretty much in line I would say

I’m not a big fan of letting a player get off easy because it is his “first time”. It was blatant disregard. The suspension is more than fair.

C’mon Shanahan. Time to become at least a little consistent with the suspensions. What do you do…throw a dart at a dart board or spin the wheel of suspension? Block out the team’s uniform for both the player that got hit and the player who did the hitting. Look at the play from all angles, and consider the past history of the offender. If it warrants a suspension, fine, hand one out. But for God’s sake man, show some consistency!

I have no problem with the suspension as long as moving forward this is the precedent for these types of hits. Of course, I know it won’t be, but it is the right length. In my opinion, I think all suspensions, other than automatic ones, should start at 5 games minimum.

I think 3 games is a tad stiff, 1-2 would have been a little harsh. If he had a prior history I would understand 3.

3 Games??? WTF!
There absolutely needs to be some consistency here. You can’t suspend a guy like Lucic for 1 game for his hit, then go and suspend a guy like Engelland 3 games when he has no prior incidents.
