If so, Drew Doughty on Daniel Sedin last night.

notice, Doughty managed to come from a long way away, make a hard hit attempting to disrupt the play (but no other motive), and did not take off Sedin’s head nor injure him.
this is an example of doing it right.

Couldn’t agree more. There are any number of ways he could have killed Sedin had he wanted to, but he didn’t because of how he chose to line him up. Beautiful hit.
This hit needs to be shown to the players as an example of what to do on this type of play and contrasted to the Paille hit, which was in the same situation, but was dirty.

Mitchell points to Oreskovich but both he and Doughty (and likely Quick) rightfully focus on the most dangerous man who still rings it off the post and in. Beauty.
Nice steal by Oreskovich but man, he skates like a beer leaguer.

Poor Doughty. Bad pass; not a soon enough hit and Daniel scores; then Daniel chirps him while celebrating with his mates and he’s still sitting on the ice. Nice shot
