The penalty was assessed in OT and Stamkos scored on the PP for the Lightning win.

Steve must be a new guy, because that was purely Stamkos shoving Sutter into the goalie. I have looked at this several times, but that was a good shove by Stamkos with his right hand that steered Sutter into the goalie. Regulation that is a penalty, but in OT, probably not. Or better yet, offsetting minors as Stamkos interferred with Sutter.

How Stamkos didn’t get a penalty on that play is beyond me. He was clearly holding Sutter. It even looked like he was apologetic after the fact.

Umm, Stamkos didn’t push him. In fact, he barely even touched him. That shouldn’t have been a penalty.

Home bias much here from commentators? Sutter had enough space to turn, and Stamkos barely shoved him. He didn’t have to jump over Garon. Also, Garon’s making a save, so it’s still interference regardless of if it’s in the crease. Same call was made on Gionta when he steamrolled Reimer back in October.
