Misogynists take note. It’s only a misdomenor to kick, stomp on, and drag a woman around in Colorado. Very liberal of them.

I think being a celebrity helps a lot, sadly.

Patrick Roy probably got him loaded after a game and encouraged him to “treat her like a lady” which I’m sure was the song playing as he assaulted her.

Colorado State law says,

Assault in the Third Degree (18-3-204)

A person commits the crime of assault in the third degree if the person knowingly or recklessly causes bodily injury to another person or with criminal negligence the person causes bodily injury to another person by means of a deadly weapon. Assault in the third degree is a class 1 misdemeanor and is an extraordinary risk crime that is subject to the modified sentencing range specified in section 18-1.3-501 (3).

Class 1 Misdemeanors
A class 1 misdemeanor is the most serious type of misdemeanor in Colorado. Class 1 misdemeanors are punishable by six to 18 months in jail, a fine of $500 to $5,000, or both. (Colo. Rev. Stat. § 18-1.3-501.) Possession of anabolic steroids is a class 1 misdemeanor.

It’s unfortunate that Domestic Violence isn’t treated more harshly. With the right Judge and proper programs DV can be corrected.

Hmmm. I didn’t catch that last sentence about steroids until now. Interesting.
