Vancouver Canucks lose Roberto Luongo to a ‘lower-body injury’ (groin?)

Via Pro Hockey Talk's Cam Tucker, the Vancouver Canucks lost Roberto Luongo to an unspecified injury during the first period of Sunday's 2-1 win over Winnipeg:

After the game, a John Tortorella team is alwasys tight-lipped about injuries, but the Vancouver Province's Ben Kuzma offered some solid estimations of what the press believes is something more specific than a "lower-body injury":

BEST SUSPICION

“He had a conversation with Bernie a shift or two before [the injury], but I didn’t know. It surprised me.” — John Tortorella on Roberto Luongo coming to the bench to talk to athletic therapist Mike Burnstein after having his skate clipped by Dustin Byfuglien. Luongo also collided with Blake Wheeler before leaving the game in the first period. He’s out day-to-day with a suspected groin strain.

BEST NO COMMENT

“I talked to him — he can talk.”— Henrik Sedin when asked about the injury status of Roberto Luongo.
