It's just a new made-in-Edmonton twist on rink-board advertising, part of the revenue lifeblood of NHL hockey, especially for small-market teams like the Oilers. "This is some of the most valuable advertising assets our teams have," says Susan Cohig, vice-president of club marketing, strategic development for NHL Enterprises, the league's business side. "Dasher-board advertising is right at game level where the action is. It can command substantial advertising dollars." Indeed. All 30 NHL rinks have sold-out space on their rink boards. Non-TV side of the rink sells for $50,000 to $100,000 per space over the season, depending on the market, while the side where TV viewers see the game rakes in $150,000 to $300,000 per space, Cohig says
