Update on the Big Chill

Don’t forget, this Saturday is the Michigan State vs Michigan game at Michigan Stadium. The puck drops at 3pm EST.

Michigan enters the game ranked #12 in the nation with a 9-5-4 record. Sparty has struggled so far and comes in unranked with a 6-8-3 record. Michigan has been practicing on the ice every day since Red Berenson skated on it last week, while Michigan State will skate on the outdoor rink for the first time tomorrow.

If you’re a fan of hockey, don’t miss this game. Even if you don’t like/care about either team, this is a big deal for college hockey. The more popular hockey of any kind gets in America, the better it is for the NHL. I’m pretty sure we can all get behind that.

And there will be a live blog. Plan on it.

Is there going to be a national feed for this game anywhere?  There’s a chance I might already have the network it would be on, but I don’t want to have to stream this.

J.J., it will be on the Big Ten Network too.

If you have the sports package on Directv, then you have FS Detroit, so you could watch it on there.

I have Time Warner Cable, so I don’t have FS Detroit (Although I very much wish I did, so I could watch pre and postgame shows).

I’m almost positive I have the Big Ten Network though.  In HD even.  Thanks, Paul.

They might block FSD coverage outside of their normal coverage area. It’s my understanding that the Big Ten Network is the only choice for the rest of the country.
