Update On Andreychuk

For a few hours Thursday, captain Dave Andreychuk's future was in question. Several Canadian media outlets reported that Andreychuk was placed on waivers, but Jay Feaster quickly shot them down. "He was not," the general manager said. "I can clearly tell you that." What he would not clearly deny was a SportsNet report that he sent a fax to the other 29 NHL teams saying Andreychuk, 42, was available. After Thursday's game, however, Andreychuk said he was told by Feaster that he was not being shopped. Asked before Thursday's game, Feaster said, "I have no comment to make on it.
