Underwood Not A Fan Of The Playoff Beard

Carrie Underwood is very excited that husband Mike Fisher’s hockey team is in the NHL playoffs, but she’s not quite as enthused about the rituals that come along with the games.
“I’m not looking forward to the playoff beard,” she joked to PEOPLE while promoting Olay’s new “Beauty by Example” campaign in New York on Thursday. “[The players] all grow out their facial hair during the playoffs.”
Continued the country star: “So before they started, I told Mike, ‘You need to shave close.’ He always looks good with a little stubble, but it’s probably going to get out of hand soon.”
Carrie, there is one sure way to put an end to that beard, even before it gets out of hand.

Just one more part of lil’ Gary’s master plan to increase hockey fandom (or is it “fandumb?”) in non-traditional markets.
If Carrie Underwood likes hockey, it must be cool!
Too bad Z’s wife is only a celebrity in Sweden, maybe Bettman and his knuckle-dragging minions would treat the Wings better if they hooked up with some Hollywood A-listers.
Hmmm, I bet Hudler would look good with Rihanna or Katy Perry on his arm…or Rihanna and Katy Perry on his arms.
