UFAs Still Available

According to the TSN list of the Top 30 UFA skaters, 9 players are still available as are 2 of the top 5 goalies.

I sense teams are still waiting for the rosters to shake out.  Teams that are over the salary cap will have to move players and I sense teams are in no rush to sign the UFAs until they see what may be available via trade or waivers.

Anyone else notice that, next to Horton, they gave the Blue Jackets the Lightning logo?

Very interesting Cleary and Brunmet haven’t signed yet

A fit in one place doesn’t guarantee a fit anywhere else it seems

Does anyone else think Mikhail Grabovski would be a ‘fit’ in Detroit?  I could see him skating with Pav and Hank.  I think that would mean Abbey playing on a third line, hopefully with Helm and Nyquist.

Questions are: 1. would that top line have enough ‘grit’ for the EC.  2. Are there just too many moving parts involved (i.e., forget Cleary, move Tootoo, Eaves, Sammy, maybe Bert, too) to make acquiring Grabovski possible?

They would have to find a way to clear at least 3 players probably. I don’t see more additions happening unless helm and Bert are on ltir all year, tootoo is traded and Sammy is bought out.
