from Art Aisner of the Ann Arbor News,
University of Michigan police will review the on-ice conduct of two Michigan State University hockey players involved in an incident that sent a Wolverines player to the hospital over the weekend, officials said.
Police spokeswoman Diane Brown said Tuesday that the actions of Spartans Andrew Conboy and Corey Tropp during Saturday’s game at Yost Ice Arena may not be criminal but will be examined to determine if further investigation is needed.
Their violent takedown of Michigan defenseman Steve Kampfer is also part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged assault involving Kampfer’s father and at least one of the players inside the visiting team’s locker room in the game’s waning moments.
