via TSN,
The NHL and NHL Players' Association have been involved in conference calls and discussions on Saturday that are expected to drift into the early evening.
According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the calls are purely "informational", and no bargaining is going on.
It is believed that if discussions go well on Saturday, then a face-to-face meeting between the two sides could take place on Sunday in New York.
The Players' Association has been reading through the 288-page offer that the NHL presented to them on Thursday.
