Hmm, Senators gave up a fair amount in the hope that Turris can somehow be a 2nd line center. Rundblad wasn’t coming along nearly as fast as Cowen, but he gave them some depth and options in terms of Kuba and Carkner.

Overpaid… for now. Up to Turris to make this look good by seasons end. Lets see if he is as good as he thinks he is!!

Phoenix scored in this deal. From day one they handled this like they should. Good job!

I’ll wait to see what Turris shows me, but although Rundblad struggled to adjust this season he really does have the tools to become an great puck mover. It’s clear the moves that made him a star in Sweden just don’t work here, though.
Still, if he can find his way in NA he has the potential to make this deal really look bad on Murray - who has always been better at the draft than trades (though he technically traded for Rundblad).
Turris’ slow start can probably be attributed somewhat to his missing camp. At the risk of sounding naive and cliched ‘hopefully a change of scenery is what he needs’.
