Reports were out there that Ryan Smyth was close to signing, not true per TSN. The ball is now in the Oilers hand.
If they decide to trade him, all heck could break out.
Update 2:24pm ET:
Bob McKenzie of TSN says on the air that rumors of Smyth being re-signed in Edmonton might be very wrong. Stay tuned.
