Griess should be available.

Yea, I’m curious why Greiss isn’t mentioned in the trade-bait articles. He has good playoff numbers, and there are already teams shopping for goalies.

Kind of the problem. I believe Kenny has spent all the cap space and has backed himself into a corner as usual. He would have to send a player back and the only one worth getting they might trade would be J Pujujarvi. The Broberg kid they got from the Hawks maybe. That probably wouldn’t be enough money out.

Greiss isn’t the answer, Holland’s going to need to overpay for MAF, but he will need Yzerman to help facilitate the trade, to eat MAF’s Cap.

I don’t think Greiss does enough to make it worthwhile for Edmonton.  If the Wings need to eat salary to make that trade though - fantastic…it just equates to better picks in return and we’ve got the cap space to do that.

MAF seems like the slam dunk best option.  Every game Edmonton waits though, it seems like MAF’s trade value goes up.

I don’t know what the deal is with Mike Smith - I thought he was healthy but looks like he hasn’t played in a couple weeks.

Edmonton really needs to make a trade for a goalie sooner, not later. They are quickly falling out of the playoff race.

They’ll almost certainly need some cap space to facilitate such a trade. This is where I hope Yzerman steps in.

There’s no salary cap for coaches. A contender cannot afford to hemorrhage points like this. Fire Tippett before you shake up the roster.

Then hire Babcock (jk)

Seems likely. A desperate Kenny could do this.
