Trouble At The WC

from Hockey Refs,
Fans at Thursday’s Canada-Latvia game at the World Championship could have been mistaken for European soccer hooligans. "Our players were not ready to play. I could not find the right words to pick the players up,” Latvian coach Piotr Vorobiev said. “The Canadian players know how to play with such a referee, we don't.” Fans were so disgruntled that a resurfacing was ordered at 18:00 of the first period to remove all the coins, noise makers, mobile phones and other objects – including a single shoe – thrown.
