Traveling Buddies

from the CP via TSN,
It's time for Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. Bill Daly, the new NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly, and Ted Saskin, the new executive director of the NHL Players' Association, headed off to Europe on Monday. The two have meetings Tuesday in Turin, Italy, with the Olympic organizing committee and will also review the hockey venue and accommodations. Daly and Saskin then head to the Czech Republic to meet with the Czech hockey federation and Czech league officials to discuss issues relating to the new NHL/IIHF agreement, which the Czechs rejected last week, along with the Russians. The Eurotrip then shifts to Zurich, where Daly and Saskin will meet with IIHF president Rene Fasel as well as some IOC members in a bid to finalize the agreement with respect to participation in the February Olympics in Turin.
