- The Kings don’t have a lot of cap space, but if they were able to find a defenceman who doesn’t carry a high price tag and would give them some depth, they’d be willing to make the deal.
- A guy to keep an eye on is New York Islanders winger Kyle Okposo. While the 27-year-old winger isn’t mentioned much, he went into Thursday with 15-31-46 totals in 56 games and although the chances of him being moved are slim the indications are Islanders’ GM Garth Snow is listening to see what he can get. If the asking price for other forwards is a first round pick and a prospect then the Isles should be able to get that in return but that wouldn’t help them for a long playoff run. A UFA making $2.8 million, Okposo is going to at least get some attention from the contenders.
