Too Much

For some folks, divisional play is a lot like Christmas dinner.
That first plateful or two makes your mouth water and you can’t wait to dig in, but when the Yuletide feast is followed by a week of turkey sandwiches, turkey pot pie, turkey soup and turkey a la king ... well, a plain old peanut butter and jam sandwich starts sounding pretty good.
Critics figure it’s the same thing in the NHL. After Tuesday night’s tilt at the Saddledome and tonight’s return engagement at Vancouver’s GM Place, for instance, the Flames and Canucks will have been force-fed to one another four times in a 19-day stretch.
