Too Many Replays

04/30/2018 at 5:16pm EDT

from Joe Starkey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette,

I don’t think this beautiful game was ever meant to be slowed to Zapruder-film levels so we could try to determine if the guy going 100 mph lifted his skate a hair above the blue line (although I’m well aware that such reviews helped the Penguins the past two years).

The Get-it-Right zealots will argue with me, but I would say to them: What about the 3-on-1 that is mistakenly blown down on a bad offside call? Is there any recourse for that?

You’re never going to “get it right.” Not all of it.

How about we scale replay back to (imperfectly) reviewing goals only?

more and yes the no goal call against the Pens is touched on...
