I question Corey Crawford’s “third star”.  If we neglect the clearly team dependent won-loss record, what is so special about posting a 2.22 GAA and .916 saves percentage over a week?  Those numbers are not too far off from the league average.  Jonathan Quick’s numbers are way ahead of them.

I was thinking the same thing PSH.  Granted I didn’t feel like taking the time to see what other goalies and players did last week that were better other than Jimmy Howard, who was 1-1 with a 1.50 GAA and .963 save percentage.  I’m not saying Howard deserved the third star, but there had to be plenty of players out there better than Crawford who only seemed to get it for his record.
