So it was Wednesday night in Detroit, where the Red Wings had been brutal all season, that they jack-hammered the hottest team in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Bruins, 6-1....

@KatieStrangESPN: One thing I am thankful for? That I am not in Jack Capuano's shoes. No doubt his seat has to be getting pretty toasty after the Islanders' fourth straight loss, 3-2 to the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night. Capuano is regarded as a passionate coach, but I'm just not convinced he has the experience necessary to mold the Islanders into a consistent playoff team....
