"Slap me silly, Sidney." Canadians are hearing more and more of Lange's creative phrases during this NHL season because Crosby is invariably in most highlight packages. "He beat Kolzig like a rented mule," Lange said in erupting after a Crosby goal against Washington goalie Ollie Kolzig. "Oh, hallelujah, Hollywood," Lange said after a remarkable Crosby pass the other night. Lange, 57, has been the TV voice of the Penguins for 30 years. So, when he says Crosby has been a boon for him and hockey in general he's speaking from experience. After all, he's been in the booth while the likes of Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr have worn Pittsburgh colours.read on
