The Streak Ends & Can Jose Handle It

If Shakespeare was penning the story of this seminal St. Louis Blues season, he might start something like this: "I come not to praise The Streak but to bury it." Or something like that. As the hours tick away on this most unusual of NHL seasons, with excitement growing in New York and Anaheim and all the playoff markets in between, the sad sack Blues are a footnote, an asterisk.

Pinpointing the pivotal position for the Colorado Avalanche as these playoffs approach doesn't require a crystal ball (or a Cristobal, for that matter). Look no further out than the goal. Look no further than Jose Theodore "Pressure?" defenseman Patrice Brisebois says with a laugh. "I don't think Jose is affected by pressure. The best school for that is to play in Montreal, isn't it?"
