Jonathan Toews is featured in November’s Men’s Heatlh.
“Combining lunges and jumps builds leg strength and endurance,” says Toews. “I do 5 minutes of forward walking lunges and then 5 minutes of backward lunges. I rest for 2 minutes and then do 3 sets of 10 box jumps.” Start by doing 1 minute of forward lunges and 1 minute of backward lunges. Rest 60 seconds, and do 2 sets of 10 jumps onto a 12-inch box.
