As NBC plays the “parade of nations” from the 2012 Olympics on tape delay, Shane Doan’s magical mystery tour may or may not continue its meander across North America. Take these Tweets for what you will given that Doan’s agent, Terry Bross, seems to claim something different about his client’s desires every day and in every interview he gives. First, from the Arizona Republic’s Sarah McLellan…
As of 7 p.m. PST, Doan has still not heard from Greg Jamison, according to his agent Terry Bross.

And then, from the Globe and Mail’s David Shoalts:
No word yet from Greg Jamison, which is not good for Phoenix Coyotes fans. Shane Doan’s agent says they never demanded 4yrs, $30-million.

The only thing more boring than the endless Doan story is the London Opening Ceremonies, will it ever end?????

I thought the Rowan Atkinson bit was pretty funny, but yeah, dull.

This isn’t hockey-related, but the only way I survived the opening ceremonies was via Twitter. People made fun of Lauer and Costas like nobody’s business and we all laughed our way through. Sometimes Twitter is useful for that.
And the Doan saga is a desert acid trip, my friends. I don’t trust Mr. Bross any further than I can throw him, and my back hurts tonight.

I hate the way the Big Four Networks cover the games. Every friggin’ time I watch, it’s a human interest story and the facetime those egotistical bastards shove in our faces every single time rather than the games. The worst one of them all is Pat O’Brian.
Then I see CBC’s coverage…and it was glorious. Games, games, games, and more games, which is what I wanted.
But that was like a dozen years ago. I quit watching it.

[b: expect @HockeyyInsiderr to say this when he wakes up from his nap RT @NHLwiki Bruce Garrioch: #Pens are ready to offer Shane Doan $24M/4]
UGH Hope Garrioch is wrong as usual

Whoever signs Doan will have a nice healthy dead cap hit to carry over in 2 years when he retires. Have fun with that, especially if the cap drops again.
