The Price For Winning

There is a price of success, and it will be paid by Rangers fans. Steve Mills, the president and COO of Madison Square Garden sports, said last night ticket prices will increase again next year if the Rangers qualify for the playoffs for the second straight season. "We've looked historically at our prices, at the fact that we didn't increase prices when we missed the playoffs and had a 10 percent decrease [following 2003-04]," Mills, seated beside Garden owner Jim Dolan, said in a press briefing before last night's game here against the Stars. "We believe that our tickets are priced reasonably, and given the performance of the team, if we make the playoffs, there will be a price increase next year.
