Kukla's Korner Hockey

The Maven This Week

from Stan Fischler of MSG Network,

• Slava Fetisov reiterates that little progress has been made on an NHL peace pact with the Russian Federation over imports. The operative word is “stubborn.”
• Andy Murray has a different view of game rehearsals, “Practice is overrated,” Murray told us after his Blues completed an optional skate.
• Is it Brett or Brat Hull opining for NBC? And which daffy script writer had him promoting Roberto (Never In The Playoffs) Luongo over Martin (Three Stanley Cups) Brodeur? And wasn’t it Hull who last week opined, “You don’t have to be a jerk about it (commentating).” Luongo over Brodeur equals J-E-R-K or B-R-A-T! Or both.
