The NHL’s deputy commissioner has a message for Win¬≠nipeg hockey fans: Don’t be dejected by what happened this week in Arizona.

“We’ve said for several years we believe Winnipeg can support an NHL franchise. They have indicated repeatedly that they continue to be interested in a franchise and I believe at some point they’ll get an NHL franchise. I wouldn’t be discouraged or dis¬≠appointed if I’m in Winnipeg at all.” Bill Daly

LOL. Funny interview.
NHL wants to sell team because they don’t want to put the burden of the Coyotes losses on the other owners.
But they expect someone else to come in and gleefully buy a franchise so they can absorb $20M in losses/year???
Hahahaha! Good luck.

There are only two choices remaining:
1. Glendale covers losses for new owner/NHL or
2. Move team.

I wonder how excited residents of Glendale will be knowing they’re being taxed extra to keep a team afloat that they care nothing about.
