Kukla's Korner Hockey

from Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette:
Since his release from prison, having been disbarred, stripped of his Order of Canada and having withdrawn from the Hockey Hall of Fame before he was to be expelled, Eagleson, 73, has kept a mostly low profile.
Until today, when 98 lots of his hockey memorabilia go on the auction block with Montreal-based Classic Collectibles.
The month-long Internet sale at http://www.classicauctions.net will open wounds and again divide Eagleson’s loyal hockey friends, many of whom he made wealthy, and his seething enemies, who bitterly charge he gutted their retirement savings.
“I’m sure it will create ...” Eagleson said during a telephone interview this week, laughing as he left his thought incomplete.
