from Ken Abramczyk of the Observer,
Preparation. Execution. Reinforcement.
Those habits and traits in hockey — and in business — bring success, Babcock told the crowd of 280 people at a luncheon Tuesday of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce. Babcock was joined by Red Wings general manager Ken Holland, just days before they were to leave for Traverse City and preseason camp.
Preparation gets you ready to compete, and reinforcement increases your confidence for higher expectations, he said.
“All it is is a weeding out process, so that the best is left,” Babcock said. “All you are doing is weeding out the competition.”
