from Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun,
Winnipeg has been outscored (16-23) in the first, but they tend to even it up (24-17) in the second. That's when things get interesting.
The Jets have given up 32 third-period goals, the fourth-worst mark in the league, while scoring 20.
But send them to overtime and they'll do an about-face: they're a perfect 3-0, behind only the Chicago Blackhawks.
Overall, the Jets are the NHL's No. 21 offence and No. 20 defence. They're perfectly comfortable in a one-goal game (8-4-2), but are one of just two teams yet to win by three or more.
So to sum up, the Jets should be just fine at home this week.
As long as they score first, play like they're on the road against a good team, keep it close, win the five-on-five play, don't give up any shorthanded goals, win the third period and don't worry about overtime.
