from Matthew DeFranks of the Dallas Morning News,
In the shadow of the Gateway Arch and the memories of postseasons past, strengthened by Ben Bishop's heroics and buried by Pat Maroon, the Stars' season died as morning threatened.
The season ended with a 2-1 double-overtime loss in Game 7 in St. Louis on Tuesday night, finishing a worthwhile and entertaining second-round series against the Blues and ushering in a dreaded and wanted summer....
"I'm pretty empty right now," Stars defenseman John Klingberg said. "I don't know. You're right in it, you're playing in overtime, could reach the conference final and then you lose like that. It's tough."
"Pretty empty," Stars center Tyler Seguin said.
"Right now, it sucks," Stars captain Jamie Benn said. "Pretty self-explanatory."
"When you don't have a chance to wake up tomorrow and practice or think about where you are going to play next it's sombering," Bishop said.
